How it works
Every touch screen test we sell includes the preparation, because a failed test means a wasted trip, a resit fee and a delayed card. One price covers all three steps.
Your online preparation course opens the moment you order. Every subject area of your test, on any device, at your own pace.
A full length 50 question mock in the style of the real test, with unlimited attempts. Aim for two passes in a row at 90 percent.
We book your test at your nearest Pearson Vue centre on a date that suits you. Bring photo ID, and your result is printed the same day.
The three tests
CITB runs three versions of the Health, Safety and Environment Test. Your card decides which one you sit, and every package below includes the prep course, the mock exam and the test itself.
The test most CSCS applications need: Green Labourer card, Red cards and the Blue Skilled Worker card.
For supervisors (Gold Supervisory card), demolition, highway works, work at height, lifts, tunnelling, plumbing and HVAC trades.
For the Black Manager card and White AQP and PQP cards. Written for the person in charge, with a heavier legal and management weighting.
Every £50 package is made up of the £23.50 CITB HS&E Test fee, payable to CITB, plus £26.50 for our booking service, preparation course and mock exam. The same test can be booked directly with CITB for the test fee alone, without the preparation or booking service.

For labourers and general operatives carrying out non skilled site work.
Temporary cards for people working towards a qualification: apprentices, trainees registered on a course, and experienced workers completing an NVQ.
For tradespeople who have completed their qualification: bricklayers, joiners, plasterers, groundworkers and every skilled occupation.
For experienced tradespeople qualified beyond Level 2 in their craft.
For site supervisors, gangers and team leaders who direct the work of others.
For site managers, project managers and senior managers running construction projects.
For Academically Qualified Persons (construction related degrees, HNDs, HNCs, CIOB exams) and Professionally Qualified Persons (members of approved bodies such as CIOB, RICS, ICE and CIBSE).
Demolition, highway works, specialist work at height, lifts and escalators, tunnelling, plumbing (JIB) and the HVAC disciplines each sit their own Specialist test alongside their card scheme's requirements.

National Compliance Training is an independent training provider and third party booking agent for the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test. We are not CITB and we are not part of CITB or CSCS, and CSCS cards are issued by CSCS, not by us. The test is a CITB product delivered at Pearson Vue test centres, and it can also be booked directly with CITB for the £23.50 test fee alone. No preparation product can guarantee a pass: your result depends on your performance on the day. Tests can be rescheduled free of charge with sufficient notice, normally at least 72 hours before the appointment; missed appointments and ID failures forfeit the CITB test fee.
