About This Course

The Level 3 Supervising First Aid for Mental Health course is our most advanced mental health training programme. It's specifically designed for managers, supervisors, HR professionals, and anyone with responsibility for other people's wellbeing at work.

Over two days, you'll build on the core Mental Health First Aider skills to develop advanced competencies in team mental health management, creating supportive workplace cultures, handling difficult conversations, and implementing organisational mental health strategies. You'll leave with practical tools and action plans ready to implement in your workplace.

More Than a First Aider—A Mental Health Champion

Level 3 goes beyond responding to mental health issues when they arise. You'll learn to proactively create conditions where mental health problems are less likely to develop, spot early warning signs before they become crises, and build a team culture where people feel safe to talk about their mental health. CPC Courses are, at best boring and at worse not worth the money. Now that I have completed my 5 modules, 4 of which were with Andrew, who has a special way of getting the point of some things into my head, believe me that is no small feat. I have thoroughly enjoyed all modules that NCT arranged for me, plus the fact it is now done via Zoom just helped me to remember it. The whole experience was so simple, right from booking a full 5 day course, to today, where I can say 'no more til next year' same place, different dates.
I wouldn't hesitate to book again with NCT. 10/10 for the guys and girls in the office, the ones we don't get to see. The price as well, considering there I'd so many Lorry and Coach Drivers that, like me have left it to the last minute before renewing their CPC Cards. My advice on that one would be to shop around, I did and NCP were by far alot cheaper than most of the others I contacted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to complete Level 1 or Level 2 first?
No, you can start directly with Level 3. Day 1 covers the Mental Health First Aider foundation content (equivalent to Level 2), and Day 2 builds on this with the advanced supervising skills. You'll leave fully qualified at Level 3.
Is this course available online?
Level 3 is currently only available as classroom training. The advanced content—including role-play scenarios, group discussions, and action plan development—requires face-to-face interaction to be most effective. We can deliver at your venue or ours.
What's the difference between Level 2 and Level 3?
Level 2 (1 day) qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider—able to support individuals in distress. Level 3 (2 days) includes all Level 2 content PLUS advanced skills for managers: creating team strategies, handling return-to-work, managing performance alongside mental health, and building psychologically safe teams.
Can the two days be split across different weeks?
For on-site training at your venue, we can discuss flexible scheduling options. Generally, we recommend consecutive days for continuity, but we understand business needs vary. Contact us to discuss what works best for your organisation.
How long is the certificate valid?
Your certificate is valid for 3 years. We recommend completing refresher training before your certificate expires to maintain your skills and stay up to date with evolving best practices in workplace mental health.
What if I find the content emotionally challenging?
Our instructors are experienced in facilitating discussions on sensitive topics and create a supportive, confidential environment. The course includes content on self-care and maintaining your own wellbeing while supporting others—this is especially important for managers who may carry significant responsibility.
