Not currently, but HSE guidance makes clear that employers should consider mental health within first aid needs assessments, and the Thriving at Work standards recommend mental health support in every workplace.
What do the different MHFA levels mean?
Level 1 gives general awareness for all staff, Level 2 trains designated mental health first aiders, and Level 3 is the supervising qualification for managers and leads responsible for workplace mental health programmes.
How long does a mental health first aid certificate last?
Three years is the recognised renewal period. Refresher training keeps knowledge current and maintains your workplace's support capability.
Can mental health first aid training be done online?
Yes. We deliver online courses with live tutor support from £28, alongside classroom courses for teams. Both routes lead to nationally recognised certification.
