How long does the application take?
The DBS check usually takes around 2 weeks. Councils then typically take 2 to 6 weeks once they have everything. We'll give you an estimate for your council area.
Do I need to have passed my APLH first?
Yes. You must have passed the Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH) before you apply. If you haven't, our online APLH course is £110.
What does the £120 cover?
Your DBS check, completion of all the application forms, submission to your council and support throughout. It also includes the council's £37 application fee, so there's nothing else to pay.
Do you cover my area?
Yes. We handle applications to every local licensing authority in England and Wales.
What if I have a criminal conviction?
Relevant convictions must be declared. Not every conviction stops you getting a personal licence, but some must be notified to the police. Our team can explain how a conviction may affect your application.
