Description
Every driver briefed. All year. On record.
A growing, fact-checked library of narrated HGV driver toolbox talks under one annual licence. Drivers watch on their phone or in a group session, answer five questions and receive a certificate, and you keep a dated record of who received every briefing.
- 12 core talks available today
- Phone or group delivery
- Records ready for audit
On a phone or with a group, recorded in one place.
On their phone
Assign a talk and each driver receives an email with a link to watch it, answer five questions and receive a certificate.
- Around eight minutes per talk
- Four of five to pass, another go if needed
- Certificate issued straight away
With a group
Deliver the talk at the start of a shift with ready-made presenter slides, then record who attended in seconds.
- Presenter slides with speaker notes
- Upload a photo of the signed register
- Counts on every attendee's record
In one record
Every completion, online or face to face, lands in the same progress grid and training record.
- Progress grid for the whole fleet
- Training record PDF for any driver
- Spreadsheet export of every completion
From assigning a talk to proving it was delivered.
Everything is managed from the Toolbox Talks tab of your My Training page, alongside any other training you hold with us.

Choose a talk and assign it
Pick a talk from the library, tick the drivers who need it and set a completion date. Each driver is emailed a link the moment you press assign.
- Assign to one driver or the whole fleet
- Optional completion dates
- Drivers see only the talks assigned to them

Drivers watch it on their phone
The link opens the talk on any phone, tablet or computer. Every talk is a narrated video of around eight minutes, built around clear diagrams of what to check and why.
- No app to install
- Clear narration from start to finish
- Diagrams drawn for every key point

Five questions and a certificate
When the talk ends, five questions confirm the key points have landed. Four right is a pass, drivers can try again if they need to, and the certificate is issued straight away.
- Certificate for every pass
- Score, date and talk version recorded
- States clearly that it is not Driver CPC

See who is up to date
The progress grid shows every driver against every talk, so you can see at a glance what has been completed, what is still to do and what is overdue.
- Completed, to do and overdue at a glance
- Open any driver for their full history
- Reminders before your licence renews

Run it with a group
Every talk comes with presenter slides and speaker notes, so a supervisor can deliver a consistent briefing at the start of a shift. Tick who attended, add a photo of the signed register, and every driver's record updates.

Records ready for an audit
Download a training record for any driver, a certificate for each talk completed, or export every completion to a spreadsheet, ready for a DVSA visit, an insurer review or an accreditation audit.

Frequently asked questions.
Do toolbox talks count towards Driver CPC?
No. Toolbox talks are not Driver CPC periodic training and do not count towards a driver's 35 hours. Every certificate and record says so.
How long does each talk take?
Around eight minutes of narrated video, followed by five questions. Drivers need four right to pass and can try again if they need to.
Are new talks included in the licence?
Yes. We add talks to the library throughout the year, including packs for construction, bus and coach, and van fleets, and every new talk is included in your licence at no extra cost.
Does every driver need an email address?
Yes. Each driver logs in with their own email address, so the talk, the assessment and the certificate are recorded against them.
What happens when a driver leaves?
Remove them from your list and their place is free for a replacement. Their records stay available to you. Each licence allows replacements of up to twice its number of places in any 12 months.
What happens when the licence ends?
We remind you 30 and 14 days before it ends. If it lapses, drivers can no longer open their talks, but your records, certificates and exports remain available. Renew and everything you had assigned is available again straight away.
Can we see the talks before we buy?
Yes. Watch the two-minute overview at the top of this page, or call us on 020 3026 4629 and we will show you round the platform and one of the talks.
