Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment
This qualification is designed for learners working in, or aspiring to work in, the construction industry. It will give learners the knowledge to undertake their jobs safely. Successful learners will fulfil the requirements to apply for the CSCS Labourer’s card.
An Introduction to the Food and Beverage Industry
The food and beverage industry encompasses all companies involved in the processing, preparation, packaging and distribution of food and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). This course provides an introduction to all key aspects of the industry including licensing, health and safety, food hygiene, allergen awareness and equality and diversity.
Age Verification
The Licensing Act 2003 (Mandatory Licensing Conditions) Order 2010 makes it a mandatory licensing condition for all premises selling age restricted products to implement an age verification policy in relation to the sale or supply of alcohol. All premises selling or supplying alcohol for consumption on or off the premises have a due dilligence to ensure all staff are suitably trained with the knowledge to challenge the age of a customer and understand the valid forms of identification that can be accepted.
RIDDOR
The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 puts duties and obligations on employers, the self-employed and people in control of work premises (the Responsible Person) to report certain serious workplace accidents, occupational diseases and specified dangerous occurrences (near misses).
This course has been designed to cover the obligations of RIDDOR, what needs reporting and how reporting in-line with RIDDOR should be performed.

Designed specifically for those who manual hande as part of their job role. This course has been developed to take into consideration the range of movements that many workers carry out on a daily basis. Correct manual handling technique can help to reduce back strain and instill good practice across your workforce. As part of the course we consider how we should lift correctly and also where we should ask for assistance to minimise potential injury.
